September Visitors
I have been so lucky to have so many wonderful visitors this month . . . it has been great! Aunt Talia came to visit from Switzerland for 2 weeks. What a wonderful time. Aunt Erin has some pictures of me showing her around, so I will have to add them soon.
We then took a trip up to Pop and Grandma Mac's house for the Carolina v. Virginia game. Go Wahoos!!! I wore my lucky Virginia shirt . . . and it must have worked! Virginia beat the Tarheels, 22-20!!

Here I am with my "Aunt" Leslie . . . I wore my new Carolina hat (from Grandma Mac) for her.
After we returned from Virginia, Grandpa Ted came down and stayed for a whole week!! We had a blast! I showed Grandpa all my new tricks. I miss him already!!

Growing up!

Welcome to the Slack Family Blog
Summer has flown by for us. We have had the joy of celebrating several weddings and traveling all across the Midwest and East Coast. We started the summer with a trip to Annapolis for Jenn and Rob's amazing wedding weekend (Henry got to wear his new bow tie), and we also made trips to Traverse City (Michigan) and Athens to see 2 of our dear friends "tie the knot." We just returned from Wisconsin where we also had the chance to celebrate Aunt Tami and Uncle Greg's wedding. It was an incredible weekend!! Henry enjoyed his first visit to the Scandinavia Corn Roast, where he danced the Polka and ate 2 whole ears of corn on the cob!!
Henry has had quite the summer. He turned 1 on June 9th, and enjoyed the chance to eat cake with his Grandma and Grandpa Slack, Grandma and Grandpa Trinrud, and Aunt Erin. He also decided to show off his moves by taking his first steps during the birthday weekend!! We were thrilled.
He is now pretty much going non-stop: running, eating, and trying news words all the time. He knows Mama, Dada, ball, night-night, and "Boots" and "Lily" (2 family cats). He likes to clap and dance, and never misses the chance to play outside.
Grandpa Ted is coming to visit very soon, so we are gearing up for his arrival. We cannot wait!! We will try to be better about keeping this up to date and filled with pictures of our growing boy.
We love you all -
